Volks, today I got the joint replaced, it was a real struggle to get it off. Usually when doing joints, the problem is getting the joint out of the knuckle after getting the nut off. Well, I had it the other way round, because of all the lovely road salt in the winter, the threads on the old joint was very rusted, and the nut really didn't want to come off. Instead, it broke itself loose from the knuckle and started to spin freely in its hole. After lots of rust loosening oil, working with different pliers, cutting with my Dremel etc., I got the old joint off. Took me about 2 hours, just to get it off. Another 20 mins to put it back together, with the new joint. If I were driving a 2WD, I would have taken the lower joint off too, just to get to the upper joint more easily. Hence the second nut?

Anyway, when I was finished I also raised the rear end of my Syncro 1" with some heavy duty plastic spacers a friend of mine made for me. The car got noticeably stiffer, and got a cool stance too. Now I just need to adjust the lights.
