We haven't actually USED one, but I know it fits, and plan to swap it out in the near future. I don't know the actual dimensions, but our NON-power-steering 1982 Westy has a steering wheel that is approximately 48" across.

The Jetta steering wheel is the more common 16", and plenty torquey to turn our van (IMHO). I like the feel, soft rubber, and lightly ribbed for driving-pleasure. :) Leave that alone...

I want a better steering wheel! Mr. Bulley mention in his recent post that he uses a 1985-92 Jetta wheel. (Do they look/feel nice?). Any others out there? I like the wheel on my BMW best of any i've used, but it may be a little small. steve
