Subject: Squeak, rattle, and roll

OK, I'll admit, I am lazy and in search of a quick answer....

I lifted the front of my Syncro (Klaus) off the ground yesterday (using the stock Bilstein jack, of course, and jack stands) in order to crawl around down there and "get aquatinted" with Klaus' underside (err, uh...that sounded kinda funny...) Anyway, today he has developed a *pronounced* squeaking in the front end with every slight up and down movement. This is probably due to some type of extension beyond the normal range that he is used to. I'm curious to know if anyone might have an idea exactly where to look for the best place to apply some grease to quiet things down a bit. When I drive through town, people are stopping and looking at us. (And I thought it was just his cool Syncro attitude...)

BTW, I'm taking him in for his 200,000 mile "physical" tomorrow - I'll report the results tomorrow night.

Thanks in advance

Brent Christensen '89 GL Syncro Westy "Squeaky" a.k.a. "Klaus"
