Tom L. Neal wrote w/clipping: sometimes I drive with the driver's seat beyond the last detent, by accident. Makes for interesting motions during braking. --------------- You can cut additional slots further back in the seat rails and make another "detent". I did this using a hack saw (seat removed from track) and now get several more inches of leg room which helps immensely. It is easy, remove seat from track, make two cuts on each track for each new detent and remove the little piece of waste metal, clean up rough edges with file, (make sure new detent is as wide as others), re-install seat, enjoy more leg room. Yet another of the secrets I learned here on the list. Have some fun. Ken Wyatt 82 westy, 521 slc, uT

PS, I went out to fine tune the bus last weekend and opened up the engine compartment and smelled gas. It appeared to be leaking from the cold start valve. I have since tightened the clamps and the leak has ceased. I put on all new hoses last year. Maybe they shrunk a little in the cold of winter. That is scary. Drip, drip, drip, pooffff.. Check those connections.
