Subject says it all. I'm going to do this, and am wondering if anyone's done it before, and what pitfalls you encountered. My reason for doing this is that I have a number of defective or severely worn components in my existing system. Mainly, the AFM is shot, and it's far cheaper to get a new digifant AFM than a new digijet AFM. I know I'll have to make a big hole in the floor to pass the cabling through, and probably drill a number of holes for brackets and such. Ken Wilford is supplying me with the parts for this (including a new AFM), so I should be all set. The only thing I lack is a three wire oxygen sensor, but I plan to get it set up and running ok with the single wire, and then replace the o2 sensor when I replace the cat. Anyone know if a 2.1 cat will bolt in place of the 1.9? I'd rather use the same mounting point as vw did. Joshua Van Tol -- jjvantol@uswest.net |
