With the recent thread re fuel lines, perhaps it would be timely to once again advise those with AC to check out possible abrasion of their hoses. Reach back and up behind where the hoses go up and feel the hoses for wear. When I got this advice from the List a couple of years ago, I did this check and found a major groove in one hose from a metal edge...the groove felt so deep, I could not believe it was not leaking. For "repairs", I slipped a spit piece of hose and electric ties into place to serve as a pad. No doubt this saved the hose itself. Kit Carter, 85 Westy central coast, CA |
