You don't need to cut the metal clamps (a collar actually, it isn't crimped on) off. You can use a sharp tool, such as a razor blade to slice the hose lengthwise underneath the collar. Then, once you get the hose loose, simply push a new hose on. The collar firmly locks the hose in place. It doesn't look like it would be secure, but it is. In fact, there are hose systems from Aeroquip, earls, etc, that use the same method of hose retention for pressures of up to 300 psi.
