Latest news coming from our way... Roger and I purchased an 87 Audi 5000S today to use as a donor car for our 87 Syncro AdventureWagen. We need to get the trunk open and can't. PO said that vacuum line isn't working and key doesn't cut it ... is there any other way to get in? Vehicle is in good shape all electrical seats working great engine sounds great .. almost seems a shame. Transmission needs adjustment or fix (it was replaced recently PO says that there may be "grit" on rings???? what do I know.. I'm the wife) won't shift to high gear but Detlev says not to worry 2nd at 55 won't hurt it getting it up to his place when we are ready. PO gave us some extra parts for it... Do any of the Audi parts fit the Vanagon? I heard something about the clock once and the syncro clock is bad (it keeps running through all the numbers in the hour spot) Zoe Ann & Roger Banker '87 Vanagon GL Syncro AdventureWagen future Vanagon Glaudi
