Subject: Vibrations: the usual suspects
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Greetings all.

During an 8 hour highway drive the other day I started to feel vibrations at about 80 kph, or 50 mph. Sort of faded in and out, felt thru the steering wheel. Very prominent when cornering to the left, less so to the right, but present. Thinking it may be the driveshaft I pulled it today, but the vibrations remain. Now it feels like it starts in the rear (feeling it in the drivers seat)at about 70 kph, then at about 80 kph the vibration switches to the front.( felt in steering wheel.) Tomorrow I will check the tires for balance. Has anyone experienced such a vibration. Alignment, engine or tranny mounts, CV's(inner or outer)? Any thoughts on this would be appreciated. Thanks. -- R.Feuerriegel 88 syncro
