Subject: Re: rear heater coolant leak
Comments: To: Davidson <wdavidson@THEGRID.NET>

Hi Davidson, had the same trouble myself recently, and being stuck at home had to use what was one hand I used a short length of copper plumbing pipe bent into a horseshoe and two clamps. remember to insert the flow restrictor, it slips snuggly into the end of the pipe and keeps the right volume flowing. The right fix for this is inexpensive the valve can be purchased for around $55can. If you take out the core make certain to shield the wire harness and tuck it away so it doesn't get damaged. BTW copper pipe is a smaller diameter then the flare ends of hose, just push it further in and clamp it. ----- Original Message ----- From: Davidson <wdavidson@THEGRID.NET> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Sent: April 24, 1999 5:58 PM Subject: rear heater coolant leak
