Hey Folks, I've been having the strangest problem with the running temp./heating system on my 91 Vanagon. For the last few months the temp. guage generally runs low, usually about halfway between cold and the LED. When under load such as climbing a hill at highway speed the needle goes up to the top of the LED. When this happens, the air from the heater gets COLD. Then after a while the temp. goes back to sub-normal and the heated air returns also.

I have had to add a little Anti-freeze to the expansion tank about once every two weeks. I had the coolant system flushed, bled and pressure tested. But this annoying problem continues.

Anyone have any ideas?

TIA Dave
