When did this condition start...suddenly?...gradually? after you futzed
with something?...since Christmas? Back track from there.


If you have 145 on all four, than eliminates problems with intake, &
compression. That leaves exhaust, fuel and ignition. You have done some
work to the ignition, form the symptoms you describe, timing *could* cause
this...but it wouldn't be my first guess.


Did you check the timing? Fuel pressure? Is the exhaust flowing freely? Try
those. Could be a clogged Catholic Converter or a bum Fuel pressure
regulator/restricted fuel filter. These are pure guesses.

My 83 westy will start and run.
But, no power, when you press the gas pedal it sounds like the engine
will not rev. up.
With clutch in or out no difference.


compression 145psi all cylinders.
valves adjusted to 2 turns after touch of valve.
new rotor, dist. cap and spark plugs.  too no avail.
