Go to www.alldata.com

Click on "Consumer Information" Click on "What are TSBs" Click on "Lookup TSBs & Recalls for your Vehicle" Click on the year of your vehicle (e.g. 1983) Click on the Make/Year (e.g. 1983 Volkswagen Truck) Click on "Volkswagen Truck Vanagon" (else the Pickup) Click on your engine size (e.g. 1.9L Watercooled)

A list of recalls is displayed in date order. This particular example yielded 145 recalls.
