The fuel system from the pump to the fuel regulator runs at 40 psi. Naturally you have to tighten the clamps <g>. Then you have to check them to make sure you tightened them. Then when you get pressure on the system you have to check and make sure that they don't leak, and tighten them again if necessary. Anything you do with a fuel system, suspension system, steering system, electrical system, braking system is potentially dangerous to you while working, and to whoever is driving the car down the road, and to whoever is in front of whoever is driving the car down the road, or to one side as may be. Comes with the territory.
