Subject: Warning from former Vanagon owner (Don't sell!)
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

I just got this email from a former Vanagon owner who found my website and I decided to forward it on it the List. Please folks heed his warning!

<<Dear "kenwilfly", I have unfortunately fallen for a 69 beetle and have sold one of the nicest air-cooled vanagons in existence,in phoenix, AZ anyway. I have had several incidences with my beetle lately. Right now, it sits in my carport, not running. I regret more than anything getting rid of my vanagon. My wife so regretted it she went to buy a new van in 95. Unfortunately, VW did not have a van available so we had to buy a plymouth voyager! What a difference between the two. Where my VW was strong and reliable, never needing brake work or front end alignments ever!, This nightmare of a van, the plymouth, should never had left the dealer, as a matter of fact if I were a salesman for plymouth I would have quit, and found another job. How embarrasing for an american company to put out something like this thing! The dealer even told me all the problems we are experiencing are "normal and routine". woe is the day I got rid of my van, and I live with that great regret every day of my life. I think you are providing a great service to vanagon owners, and you could tell them for me to never think about getting rid of their vanagons. They may be slow but they will get you there!!!>>
