I hate to be the one to say this (as I will surely be flamed by a thousand torches) but we have had a bunch of either goofy, unneccesary, or totally off-topic posting as of late. I know I am not the List Admin but I want to help people on this list with thier VANAGONS. Off-topic postings are great on Friday and I love them. Even the occasional posting during the week is not bad, but constant posting about racism, etc. gets bad when you have to sort through 150 emails a day. Also a few listmembers like to get new screen names (like Gordita70 and One-Born@Every-Minute.com) and ask goofy questions that are not meant to be serious only stir things up or whatever. This might be fine on Friday but do we have to have this going on constantly during the week? So please if you have a problem with someone in something off-color they said please settle this off-list first. If they won't respond then go to the List-Admin, but threads that go on and on about off-topic stuff is bad for the list and drives people who really need help with thier vans, off the list. Finally please stop forwarding Mrs. Smith's 3rd grade class project (fake), the email tax (fake), and other chain mails about sick kids, internet snowballs, etc to the List. These may be new to you but I have seen them a million times before, they are totally off-topic (so if you are going to forward them at least wait until Friday) and they not only congest this list but also bog down the internet in general. OK, I will now don the plaid, fire retardant, suit fresh from the cleaners! Ken Wilford Van-Again John 3:16
