Hey! you found the name! Where is it, so I'll know next time? On the heater, are you talking about the fan switch? If so, 1) get a *rear* heater fan switch from junkyard (b/c the front one is probably melted like yours) and 2) know that your blower is drawing too much juice and needs replacing. A real PITA!

I've resuscitated these switches, but I don't think it's worth the effort unless you can't find another one. To cure the knob falling out, fold a shim of thin paper or foil across the end of the shaft and put it back. You'll find a thickness that works.

To save the beating on the switch while you gird your loins to take out the dashboard, you can a) never use high speed or b) set up a relay to drive the high-speed from a separate fuse, and use the high speed pos'n of the switch to energize the relay.
