In a message dated 99-04-30 15:17:26 EDT, you write:

<< #1 if it came stock on all Westys>> In the front it did. <<#2 what one looks like>> It looks like a bar that goes from one side of the van (underneath) to the other. <<#3 where its mounted>> Under the van between the two front wheels. It is mounted to the frame. <<#4 exactly how it works>> That's a good question. I think it stiffens the frame of the vehicle and adds lateral rigidity to the suspension thereby keeping the van from swaying as much (hence the name "anti-sway" bar. <<#4 front or rear or both>> Came with a front one only stock. You can add a rear one but I wonder how involved it is with the tranny being in the way and all. Have heard a few folks talk about buying and installing one but never really heard back from them on how the install went and if it actually helped reduce body roll (I always wondered if it would help the wind buffeting that Vanagons experience). #5 where to buy one if I need one >> The last time someone was talking about it they said something about getting a kit from Pep Boys. Thats all I know. Ken Wilford Van-Again John 3:16
