Steve's basket is from the same manufacturer as mine,
SURCO.  He has his mounted to his Yak rack, which I
would probably  recommend to you as well.  While it
sits a little higher when mounted to a yak, you can
take the basket off to carry bikes, canoes, lumber, or
whatever.  I wish I had mounted the basket on the
Montero that way.  Surco makes a drip rail style
mounting kit if you want it that way. Again, Whitney
is as cheap as anyone I've found for this rack.
