Thanks for posting. I was surprised at how strong Vanagon's fronts where. I just assumed you had a front row seat to the Vanagon's crumple zone in a wreck and where lucky to die quickly. Still looking for crash pics of old bugs, karmann ghia's, etc to prove/disprove my theories of rear-engined safety :) -Ben
