R.F.; Sounds like a voltage supply problem. Either from the positive side i.e. alternator/regulator or the negative side i.e. ground cluster behind the fuse block. Both, on occasion, need attention. Drive Safely & Good Luck Ken Lewis<Kernersville,NC>86 VW crewcab;60 T-5 Coupe Date: Tue, 4 May 1999 02:15:34 -0700 From: Randolph Feuerriegel <RFeuerriegel@BC.SYMPATICO.CA> Subject: Crazy tach Greetings all. While driving the hwy today my tach started jumping around, red LED on dash started blinking, then gone. Happened 4 times over a couple of hours. Engine ran fine, no hiccups, no stalling etc. Checked the archives, but couldn't find that specific problem. I suspect a loose or broken wire. Any thoughts on whether this is the tach itself or a wiring problem? All suggestions welcome. Thanks. -- R.Feuerriegel ___________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail.
