My '82 Westy has an oil temp gauge that a PO had installed. It always reads high by about 30 degrees and the reading varies depending on engine speed (and I suppose alternator voltage output). Is it possible that the voltage source for the gauge should be connected to the voltage stabilizer? I'm pretty sure it's now just connected to a hot point in the fuse block. If it should be getting stabilized voltage, where's a good place to tap in?
