Hi Volks: I'm looking to flush my coolant, and discussed it with a friend looking at the Bentley Coolant diagram (page 19.10). He suggested that I could flush my coolant from the expansion tank, by attaching a water supply to the expansion tank hose that supplies the engine, and draining coolant from the other hose that attaches to expansion tank, (and drains from the engine). Of course, the water would subsequently have to be drained from the system, and air bled, system refilled etc as per Bentley. Would the above method work safely and effectiviely?
