The deal is done! I am now the proud owner of a 1984 Westfalia - light blue with purple cabinets (tastefully done mind you). I pick it up on Saturday. As you may have seen in one of my previous posts, there are a few things wrong with this one. The biggest problem is a bad transmission, followed by a very noisy fuel pump, a fridge that doesn't work on propane and a few other odds and sods. I got a good deal as far as BC prices go - $3500 CAD ($2300 USD). Supposedly there was some engine work about 2 years ago that was triggered by leaking coolant... where have I heard that story before! The interior is very clean and the van did see lots of TLC - problem is the owner went broke owning it!

Now, I have to reduce the fleet... 6 cars is too much according to my wife, parents, friends, neighbours and complete strangers :) So, I have my 1978 Rabbit and 1985 Cabriolet for sale. Anyone interested? Please!? :)
