Yep, the low beams are original DOT spec (and are very dim).  They have the
DOT symbol cast into the glass lens.  The high beams OTOH, have an E1 inside
a circle, and no mention of DOT anywhere on the glass.  They are VERY
bright.  Is it possible that the PO just swapped out the high beams?  (Or
are the stock high beams stamped/cast with the E1 symbol and no DOT symbol?)
