Once I hauled 20 100# bags of plaster - 2000 lbs - in my '85 GL from Anchorage to Kenai. That was a 150 mile drive through the mountains.

On another trip between Anchorage and Kenai, I hauled 15 pieces of 4X8 ft sheets of plywood, 15 - 2X6's 12ft long and a 12ft ladder.....all inside. That was a tougher job than hauling the plaster. Hard to fit the 12 ft pieces in. had to be just right so as not to punch out the windshield...but was done.
