Subject: Rebuiliding brake master cylinder

Hi, I have a new dilemma, My master cylinger is leaking, FLUID BUILD UP AT ME FEET WHILE DRIVING. Is it something a newbie can rebuild? Should I rebuild it or but one new? What is the Cost for a new master cylinder vs kit to rebuild myself....?? or for reasons unknown to me should I just have one installed...? Then there is the time factor, bleeding, & safety... Shop prices? Sure could use some help here...:0)
