I've installed a gray water tank on my 86 Westy GL (with AC). I used a 2 gal plastic gas can that I bought at a marine/boating store for $8. Drilled a hole in the side to correspond to the drain, then drilled another hole in the lowest corner, installed a 3/4" hose fitting, screwed the original cap on that, and used a 4 foot strap (the type camping stores sell with a nifty one-way pull-through gripper) to secure it to the frame. This required cutting a couple of slots into the crimped metal body edges of the van. Total cost about $10. Getting the right can was the key: this one is a Rubbermaid, 2 gal 8 oz (7.81 L), and is kind of angled on top. The top has "Gasoline" and "Essence" molded in. Don't see a model number anywhere, just lots of "lawyerese" about not doing something stupid in fine print molded into the side.

Comes in very handy for those picnics in the parking lot at the state park or when brushing teeth after a siesta in the parking garage at work.
