Now don't no one get the foolish impression that the Northwest (or the West, for that matter) is one big panorama after the next. Especially those of you in the East! We have our share of traffic problems and ugly cities. And while Mt. Hood is majestic it's also a "dormant volcano" (like Mt St. Helen's !).

My point, you ask? It is stories like Karl's kamikaze trip in his vanagon that encourages an influx of cowboys 'n cowgirls. When, in fact, the West is full up; has been for years. ;)
