Hello eveyone just wondering if anyone knows how much it would cost to rebiuld a vanagon water cooled engine in canadian currency, and also how much for a air cooled engine, again in canadian dollars? Also does anybody on the list live in the vancouver BC area, and if so can you recommend any volkswagen shops that could rebuild these motors and are fair and honest? Also I am thinking about trading my Jimmy in on a 1986 Vanagon westy 4spd, with 215,000 original km. The dealer wants $10,800 now assuming the van is in good condition, is this a good price for one of these? I havent looked at it yet but will probably go see it tommorow. Also how close to a rebuild is 215,000 km? What else should I look for? is 86 a good year? Thanks for your help? ALso I am starting to get desperate for a westy, The slae of my 93 GMC Jimmy is taking tooo long,so if anyone in the vancouver BC area, knows of somebody with a westy that would consider a trade for the gmc let me know. Pics of the truck can be viewed at www.intergate.bc.ca/personal/julio Thanks to everyone on the list for your help

Julio
