I have two options for the 1.9L Vanagon, an original-equipment style system from Dansk and an aftermarket system from S&S. Both run $299.95 sans cat. S&S claims minor performance advantages over the stock system, and feedback I have heard confirms that they may improve performance *very* slightly. On the other hand, I personally feel that the original system is the more durable of the two and therefore would probably be the better value in the long run. The Danish-made Dansk pipes are easily equivalent to the originals and seem a bit "beefier" than the S&S setup. Personally, I'd lean toward the stock system, but not all would agree, I'm sure, which is why I offer both flavors.
