Tim Lott <TkIrMiMsY@AOL.COM> wrote: I'm adding an oil cooler to my 82 camper. Would you suggest an extra oil pump, this oil cooler has a fan any suggestions on were to install it? -------------------------- I added one last year using a sandwich adapter between the oil filter and filter mount. I ran lines to the radiator type cooler which I mounted in the rear wheel well above the transmission. The cool thing about this one is it has a fan that is themostatically controlled to come on at 220 degrees and go off at 200. (it is adjustable where it comes on.)

I can always remove it from circulation by removing the adapter plate. The only thing I would like to make better would be to add a valve that turns flow to the cooler off and on based on temp. The setup I have takes longer to warm up completely. I love it even in the heat of the desert summer.

Cost was about $250 (US) all done. Ken Wyatt 82 westy
