Gotta respond to this one- IMHO, "auction" is just another way of saying "getting screwed" I recently went to an auction where they were selling a hobbyists 30 year collection of tools, parts, etc. I wanted a good quality 2 1/2 ton floor jack, there were 3, rather greasy, but they worked. Retail these would go for about $80.00. All three sold for $75.00 or higher. It ended for me when the auctioneer held up a cardboard box with an old bottle of Windex ( 1/4 inch left in it) and some used rags and some damn idiot paid $1.00 for it!!! A bit of advice- when you kick, tell your heirs to sell your stuff auction style, don't have a yard sale. Apparently people lose all common sense at an auction. Jeff S.
