Fluorescent fixtures tend to use a fraction of the electricity for the same amount of light. I like a mix of both fluorescent and incandescent...us F. for general area lighting, and I. for reading and "mood" lighting (with a variable-resistor dimmer).

Anyone care to put forth their opinions concerning fluorescent and incandescent interior lights? I have the chance to pick up a fluorescent fixture for next to nothing but need more info. Any advantages in having fluorescent over incandescent?
