Jim,

Those hitches are class 1 which is good up to 1500 or 2000 Lbs. Check with trailer place to find out for sure. I just borrowed one from a friend and towed an aluminum trailer with a motorcycle on it for about 500 miles with my 91 GL. I was on 2 lane mountain roads most of the time. It worked like a dream and I got almost 23 MPG for the whole trip. Very satisfied. The really nice thing about them is how easy it is to put on / take off. We had it off of Lisa's bus and onto mine in about 10 min.. If I had ever seen one before, I would have made one a long time ago. They are $159.95 at U-haul (installed I think).
