Joel, I recommend you change the thermostat. It should be done, IMHO, every 24 months, anyway, to avoid problems that can occur if it sticks closed. That is what happened with my '88 GL, and it blew the coolant level out of the expansion tank three times before it was figured out. Replaced the thermostat, no more problems. To help with the pressure problem, I replaced the pressure relief cap as well.

My Syncro has run a little hot (half way between the LED and the HOT zone even in winter). But never in the hot zone, ever since I got it a month ago ! Would you guys recommend changing the thermostat while I have the distribution unit out? If yes, what Brand and temp would you recommend?
