Javier - I've often thought about making a "Jitney" out of me '85GL. I saw a Loaf when I was in Viet Nam which had the top & sides cut out, nine wicker seats in it and was really cool! A good Briggs & Stratton 20hp OHV is all you'd really need to haul the family around in.
