Subject: Mastercraft (Cooper) Courser tires

I just put a new pair of shoes on my vanagon, after knocking the rust off of the wheels. I REALLY wanted Michelins, but just couldn't justify paying almost twice as much.

I got a set of Mastercraft Courser R/D 195r14's. These are made by Cooper and are 8 ply D rated M&S tires that are somewhere between A/S and A/T's. I got them for under $300 for all four on the rims! My brother and another friend have gotten good service out of other Courser's.

I'll give you a report on how it rides once I install a new gas tank and rear heater in the beast.

Now if I could just decide on shocks.... KYB, Monroe, or Gabriel gas. (I'll have to pass on the Bilsteins or Boges just as I passed on the Michelins.)
