Hmmmm... A 460CID Ford I presume. Lemme pass on the tale of Fordzilla.

Fordzilla is an ancient doddering slobbering hunk. With the custom anti-glare blue metallic with brown accents and Arizona pin striping and 130/80 Bosch H4s, he's respected in all circles. The Trans is an industrial 3sp beefed to handle the 460s torque. Oh did I mention limited slip front and rear? This is no wimpy viscous coupler, this is real 4wd engageable with a manly lever and locking hubs. Yep this is a backcountry cruiser par excellence. 9MPG on a good day but it will haul 3500lbs of whatever you like up a 40% grade. (100%=1 in 1) A veteran of many desert trips and water through the doors crossings he makes any vanagon look shall we say a bit boutique. No offense there Derek you are the VanagonBoonieMaster, no contest.

Pix available when the scanner comes to life.

MORE stuff.

Re qtips and cleaning vcr heads. The materials science side of helical heads is such that they are designed to deal with many thousands of hours of a microabrasive environment (the Fe magnetic material on your tape is microabrasive) Qtips won't hurt em at all just don't dip it in valve grinding compound first.

I have a westie side tent I will let you use for your trip. It's the classic floored model and it's NRA Excellent. I assume you're local to the 530 area code. I can deliver if you like. One catch, I want it back in the same shape and there is a $500 US deposit required returnable when the tent is returned.

Unca Joel, can you contact el stevo? P'haps a phone call to Ron the BigFish will catch him. I have a request.
