Hello to everyone--I just recently got a hold of my first Westy camper. It is a 1985 with 93,500 miles on it and runs pretty smooth. I am only a week into owning this brown beauty and I am just looking for some advice from people who actually know what they are talking about. I wouldn't consider myself completely ignorant when it comes to technical car work..but I know I must educate myself! So I am asking anyone for any type of advice what so ever..to ensure that my competency level increases--I just got the oil changed and i am getting an alignment tomorrow. I am very aware of the head gasket problem with these Vanagons--but if there is any publication that anyone could direct me toward i would appreciate it. I can read, I have the capacity to learn, and I don't mind grease...Thanks for the help--Munga Reyes
