I've read on the list how a Golf II clock assembly will fit in the vanagon, but I wondered if anyone had tried the digital clock display and circuit board from an Audi 5000. I found one from an '86 at a junkyard the other day. Apart from the clear plastic bit that transmits the light for backlighting the display and the fact that the Audi display has a red background, it all looked the same, but when I tried it in my 90 GL it didn't work. So, is the Audi clock just broken, or is there something different about it not apparent to me? TIA Graham 90 GL Country Homes conversion |
