My bad, I missed that he had been hit by OV. However, in many cases, you
can collect under your own collision coverage (subject to deductible) and
have your Insurance Company subrogate. You better be able to justify your
claim that the other companies offer is too low though. This again is where
your extra equipment coverage would come in. Your company could confirm the
vehicles value if you had the extra coverage. They recover the full amount
and you get back your deductible. I know-in a perfect world. But it can
happen if you have the extra coverage. Put your company to work for you!!
