I've noticed that every major rebuilder gets the thumbs down from some listees, while they might get some thumbs up form others. Now is the time to discuss the VW rebuilds, or are they VW rebuilds? Does any of you listees know where these engines come from? I know VW has a factory in germany for rebuilding engines, trannys and other components, but are the engines the US dealers offer rebuilt in Germany? I for one, does not know. Since I don't know this, the thought that crossed my mind was, is there a possibility that the engines VWoA supplies have been rebuilt by AVP, FGA, GEX or Boston Bob? Or are they imported from Germany? This would be best answered by those who have engines supplied by VWoA. What are the lists experiences? PerL 88 Syncro (probably stock engine w/180k kms) |
