Hi all, I have a spoiler that has ripped off my Ford SVO that I'm restoring. I can't find anyone local that has a clue so here it goes.... I need something similar to an expanding drywall anchor that can be pushed down into a hole in the metal and expanded so that it stays inplace and has female threads to allow a bolt to be threaded into it. I can't get into the interior where the hole is so I can't simply secure a nut on the back. Problem w/ drywall anchors is they start expanding about 1/4 inch down the shaft assuming that they're in drywall that is much thicker than sheet metal. I've done it in the past by stacking washers behind the metal to simulate the thickness of the drywall. I can't do this this time! Help! Thanks Mikey `87 Westy `84 Ford SVO 2.3t |
