Yes, it will work. I've used Vanagon pumps on Jettas and I'm sure it will work the other way. The pressures are different but that only has to do with the pressure regulator. The fuel is in a continuous loop so volume is not an issue. You will find that the Jetta pump is larger, has screw terminals for the power and a screw on fitting for the outlet. The way I used it on my Vanagon (with a Jetta engine, before I switched back to a Vanagon pump) is that I mounted the whole square Jetta pump holder to the frame, and I kept the accumulator from the Jetta, then I removed the SS line from the barb fitting on the output of the accumulator and hooked that to the fuel line. Watch the polarity on the electricals, the pumps have a + and - cast into the plastic (under the dirt). BTW, I've also used a Vanagon/Loaf pump on a Subaru. They are all pretty much the same.
