Digifant II was never used on the vanagons so I assume you are looking at a Golf/Jetta Bentley (or the Probst book I suppose)... Digifant II performs idle stabilization and includes a knock sensor. I also believe that Digifant II has OBD... A couple of the pin outs are different from the Digifant I ECU if I remember correctly. I don't believe that the digifant II was ever used on a 2.0L engine and someone had mentioned that its maps were most likely optimized for a 1.8L engine...
