I took my syncro out yesterday to drive 1 1/2 blocks to meet the latest arrival in the neighborhood: a white 1990 syncro westy just like mine! I think this has turned into the center of the vanagon universe. There are at least 8 vanagon westfalias, including two prime syncros, within 8 blocks of here, several other vanagons, and lots of busses. Perhaps out of jealousy or anger over losing its special status in the neighborhood, my van started missing at initial throttle...it happened several times. It's kind of like a falt spot very, but could be missing, that happened soon after i started accelerating from a dead stop. It may be related to accelerator pedal position. I recently replaced the air flow meter, but have driven 1000 miles no problem. Any tips or arears to check would be much appreciated. steve |
