Subject:      Volkswagon Chooses HP servers
Content-Type: MULTIPART/MIXED;

We work on these UNIX servers.

Wishful thinking would hope that buying a bunch more computers would lead to VW part price declines...maybe if we could fiddle with the software the Finance group uses.......

HP wins $20-million N-Class server deal at Volkswagen AG

HP recently won an ERP deal at Volkswagen AG's Finance and Human Resources organization.

HP will deliver the N-Class hardware and convergence services for all SAP activities at the customer headquarters organization.

This sale is worth $20M through the end of 2000, with further opportunities for a worldwide rollout. The deal was won against IBM and Sun, both of whom are current hardware suppliers for VW.
