Subject: Re: Trip to VW Factory and engine swaps

I am in the process of converting an '87 Vanagon Wolfsburg with a VW factory approved conversion kit from South Africa. I have been asked by the factory to research the possibility of distributing this kit in the USA. In South Africa they had stopped selling the Wasserboxer for some time and only sold the conversion through the dealer network. The conversion is very complete. It comes with a complete 2.0 liter motronic engine, filter box, supports, hoses, wiring harness, etc. What is impressive is that with very few exceptions, everything has a VW part number and is genuine. This kit is available for Vanagons with or without AC and also is built for Synchros. I will update the forum when I am farther along.
