What I'm wondering if there is some Vanagon-related material we could import from Mexico or Brazil.

Does anybody know if TDI's are made there yet, or other suitable engines for Vangon transplanting?

It seems to me that being closer to us than Europe or S. Africa would mean lower costs. In addition, NAFTA countries are supposed to have reducued duties etc.
